Min syster tog bilden i april 1962.
As a 12-year-old, I decided to continue with dance instead of swimming (Can still do flip from the trampoline). In addition to school, I danced 4 hours a week. I also started dancing on tiptoe which I liked a lot. The lesson was moved to a room about 25 m °. The poor pianist got a small corner partly behind a curtains. There was no changing room so everyone would be ready at the start of the lesson. We also had to wait outside until the group before us had left the room. 1 hour of ballet and then 30 minutes of tiptoe for the students who had a medical permit, that was the rules. No toe tip before you have turned 12 years old and doctors checked feet, back and other health parameters. I got my first pointe shoes but remember the students who did not get permission and many of them stopped. The ballet school also received many assignments and I belonged to the group that performed these. My ballet teacher came from Russia and she had a bit of a hard time because we danced because it was fun and not because we wanted to be great ballerinas. Longed every week for the ballet lesson. My sister took the picture in April 1962.
